Tenugui is a traditional Japanese pattern, isn't it?
Traditional Japanese patterns are characterized by the repetition of the same pattern and the auspicious meaning.

This time, I would like to introduce about four of them.

"Kamawanu"

It says "I don't mind", and it was designed based on the popular rebus paintings from the latter half of 1680 to around 1700. It seems that Kabuki actor Danjuro Ichikawa was also used on the stage.

"Arabesque pattern"

The arabesque pattern is said to be a pattern that imagines the shape of leaves, stems, and vines growing and entwining.
It seems to be an auspicious pattern with meanings such as "prosperity" and "longevity" from the strength of vitality and the appearance of growing vines without interruption.

"Yazaki"

It has a pattern that imitates the arrow feathers of a bow and arrow, and it seems that the arrow that was skipped by the bow does not return, which means that it does not return.
Also, from there, in the Edo period, when a woman married, she was sent with a kimono with a Yazaki pattern, meaning that she would not come back.

"Qinghai wave"

It looks like the image of the ocean waves.
It is said that the wave pattern, which is repeated all the time, is intended to keep a peaceful and happy life forever.
